Settlement Summary
Rodan + Fields, a skincare and haircare company known for its sales through independent consultants, has recently agreed to a class action settlement amounting to $8 million. The lawsuit was filed over allegations of misclassifying some consultants as independent contractors, failure to pay wages, and non-reimbursement of business expenses, amongst other labor law violations. This follows an earlier $38 million settlement related to undisclosed potential side effects of its Lash Boost product. The maximum settlement amount in the recent case is $8 million, from which attorney fees, administrative costs, and penalties will be deducted, leaving an estimated net settlement fund of approximately $4.5 million.
