Settlement Summary
Mondelez and Nabisco, manufacturers and distributors of popular snack Wheat Thins, have agreed to a $10 million settlement to a class action lawsuit filed over false advertising claims. The case was launched in response to the companies' marketing of certain Wheat Thins products as "100% Whole Grain", despite the inclusion of refined grains within the ingredients. This mislabeling was found to be misleading to consumers, leading to the lawsuit and subsequent settlement. Anyone in the U.S. or U.S. territories aged 18 and over who purchased eligible Wheat Thins products between October 13, 2018, and May 9, 2025, may be entitled to a portion of the payout, which ranges from $4.50 to $20.00, regardless of whether they retained proof of purchase.
