Settlement Summary
Momentum Solar, a company providing solar panel installation and other related services, has agreed to a settlement of up to $30 million following allegations of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The lawsuit was filed due to claims that the company made unsolicited telemarketing calls to consumers who had not given their permission to be contacted. The settlement benefits those who received at least two telemarketing calls from the company within a year, between March 5, 2015, and January 2, 2025. However, it should be noted that current and former customers of Momentum Solar are excluded from the settlement. Without admitting any wrongdoing, Momentum Solar has agreed to initial payment of $1 million within 90 days of the settlement’s approval, with further payments over the next 15 years bringing the total to $30 million. To avail of the settlement benefits, eligible recipients must submit a valid claim form by July 31, 2025.
