Mazda has agreed to a $1.9 million settlement over allegations that its Mazda Connect Infotainment system was subjected to a variety of technical glitches, including frequent rebooting, freezing, and other malfunctions. Although Mazda denies these claims, it has agreed to provide benefits to affected vehicle owners and lessees. The settlement covers certain Mazda vehicles purchased or leased in the U.S. or its territories, with eligible models ranging from 2014 to 2023. The compensation breakdown includes reimbursements for out-of-pocket expenses related to the infotainment system repairs or replacements (up to $1,750 per vehicle for non-Mazda repair facilities), and a 24-month limited warranty extension for software updates and repairs/replacements of the Connectivity Master Unit
