Settlement Summary
Pharmaceutical company Haleon has agreed to a $4.5 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve allegations that it falsely advertised its Robitussin products as non-drowsy. Although the products were marketed as non-drowsy, they reportedly contain dextromethorphan, an ingredient known to cause drowsiness. Plaintiffs in the case argued that they would not have bought Robitussin products if they were aware of this fact. Class members can submit up to three claims with proof of purchase, or one claim without. While Haleon has not admitted any wrongdoing, they have agreed to pay the settlement to resolve the case, emphasizing the potential legal and reputational risks for companies that fail to provide accurate information about their products.
