Settlement Summary
Dodge, the popular American automobile manufacturer, has agreed to a settlement of a class action lawsuit regarding defective door latches in their 2017-2018 Grand Caravan vehicles. The lawsuit was sparked by allegations that certain Dodge Grand Caravans, produced between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2017, were equipped with faulty rear power sliding door lock actuators and/or latches. This defect reportedly led to mechanical failures and the loss of locking/unlocking capability, raising significant safety concerns. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA US), the parent company of Dodge, has denied any wrongdoing, but has chosen to settle to avoid protracted litigation. Successful claimants may receive full reimbursement for qualifying out-of-pocket repair costs and an extended warranty covering future repairs for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Interested parties are urged to visit the Dodge Settlement website to submit a claim for reimbursement before the August 14, 2025 deadline.
