Settlement Summary
Deere Credit Services, a financial services company owned by John Deere, has agreed to a $1.5 million class action lawsuit settlement over allegations of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by using artificial or prerecorded voices to call consumer cell phones without their prior express consent. This unlawful activity allegedly occurred between February 2, 2020, and June 25, 2024, affecting individuals who were not customers or account holders of Deere Credit Services. Despite not admitting any wrongdoing, the company decided to settle to resolve the telemarketing allegations. In this case, the Deere Credit Services settlement allows class members, i.e., those who received a prerecorded or artificial voice call from the company during the specified period on a number not associated with a Deere customer, to claim a share of the net settlement fund after deductions. Depending on the number of valid claims, each class member could receive an estimated $2,500-$3,750. The deadline to submit a claim form is January 25, 2025.
