The lawsuit alleges that the companies mishandled the personal and health information of approximately 3.5 million individuals, which was accessed by an unknown party during a ransomware attack that occurred from June 3, 2020, to September 26, 2020. Information compromised in the breach included details such as social security numbers, tax identification numbers, medical records, and biometric information, among others. As part of the settlement, affected individuals can claim reimbursements for documented losses up to $6,000 and choose between three years of credit monitoring services or a pro-rata share of any remaining settlement funds.
